Good-Bye Freedom

So, Freedom is sold.  A nice couple from Ohio will be her new owners.  We pulled her from Muskegon Lake one last time and de-mast her for shipping in the Spring.  Here are some pics of her.

First long trip, awesome.

Ok,  not that long.  Four days and three nights.  About 15 miles north to White Lake, Michigan.  Here are some pics, enjoy.

Another great day sailing!

Drove through some rain on the way to Muskegon to sail but had great weather when we got there.  Went out on Lake Michigan again and had great wind.

Just Awesome sailing!

Just the right amount of wind.  Sailed to Lake Michigan and out almost 4 or 5 miles and back.   Had all three sails up and did in the 6 to 7 knot range.  We now know not to pass the Rock on the North side.   What Fun.

First sail of the summer (Fun).

Put the sails on two days ago.  Got a full Crew and just a perfect wind.   Got up to over 5.5 knots with just the front sail.
